noting with interest.

Garmin 130 works really well, and just does the basics but the battery life isn't great and gets worse to quickly. (at under 2 years old I was getting less than 5 hours on cold winter days). Recently did a diy battery replacement for a 2x size battery which seems to have worked but it's not a simple job.

530 and 540 are supposed to have much better battery life but are a lot more expensive and larger.

I picked up a used 530 on ebay for less than half the Garmin price. Working fine and I get at least 7-8 hrs battery life and thats with backlight on max. I put it on a articulated mount behind the bar just to the left of the stem so it’s protected from falls.

So my 130 died (I'd replaced the battery and I'm guessing my power connections broke - the OH's is still working fine) and I bought a 530 which are going cheap at the moment as superseded.

Still prefer the size and B&W screen of the 130 but the software is a massive leap forward. The inbuilt e-bike field works much more reliably than the third party app on the 130 and the Shimano Steps integration means you even get motor error messages. (I've not bothered trying the Orbea app - can't see what that would add)
