Giant trance X Advanced E-bike

First time on this forum. Thank you in advance.
Very upset. Just spent $3000 on a demo Giant MTB and on my first ride it kept dying on me. Took back to shop. They had it for six days and told me they put a few shims on it and said should fix the issue.
Rode bike yesterday and again kept dying on me, I was rite in the middle of a huge hill. This time it wouldn’t go back on. Took back to bike shop. They mentioned about replacing the Shims. The bike is still under the 30 day warranty. Does anyone have advice? I love the bike when it’s working. But at this point I’m starting to loose faith.
It is a 2022 model and was used as a demo. Do these bikes have sustainability??

Mate of mine has the Talon E+3. Hasn't had any issues.

And what exactly did they shim ? The battery ? It does sound like a poor connection overheating.

Sounds like you will keep on having issues. Get your money back and buy something else.

I'VE had a new 2023 giant reign e+3 since last Feb.
I have 3700km on the bike now and has never dropped power ever while climbing in top modes.

I have the option to return and get a refund.
Anyone have the same bike? Your thoughts on my situation?
Also, anyone know about Trek Rail 5 Deore
Gen 3. It’s around the same price as the Giant brand new. And it has the Bosch motor.

The Rail 5 is better than a Stance E2. Better Fork, better Rear shock, better gearing, better brakes.

I decided to take the Giant mtb back.
I ordered the Trek powerfly FS 4. 3rd generation. I went over my $3000 budget and spent $4600. I hope it’s worth it.
Anyone have the Trek or any additional advice. Love to hear from you all.

I presume the Rail 5 was more expensive than the Powerfly?

The Rail 5 is a much better bike

I had random cutting out on my 2022 Trance X Adv E+2. LBS diagnosed it as the battery management system and provided a new battery under warranty.

I have two Giant bikes. 2021 Stance E+ 1 and a 2024 Trance X Advanced E 2. Love them both and never an issue with either of them. I wouldn't be surprised if that demo bike was a return that had issues that they just kept as a demo. Buying a used EBike (even a Demo) is like buying a used car. You are just buying someone else's problems.

I bought a 2022 reign and it cut out randomly. I took it to tbe shop and they called tbe rep. After tbe call thru replaced my battery and no problems since. It was during the supply chain disruption and we believe they had a 2021 battery with the new PW3 motor. They upgraded the 600W to the 800W (I paid the difference) and again no problems since.
