I wanted to look at a Trance e+3 Pro today but no Trances in local store. Looked online and it looks like major stock shortages across Australia. To make it more difficult I am looking for an XS and couldn't find one available in the whole country. I was told by the dealer they may get one in a month but no guarantee. I'm not the most patient person so will probably buy another brand if another bike with similar spec/price. Eg. Focus or Merida. It looks like this is due to sea freight vs previous air freight in the current environment. Frustrating when I just want to upgrade now

Yeah, i went to my local Giant store and they were completely sold out of all e-bikes. I got a look at their 'call-back' list of people who wanted e-bikes and it was like 4-5 pages long. They couldn't make any promises about when i would recieve a call.

Focus 2021 stock is literally arriving right now, i ordered start of this month and should be getting it within the next week or two from the first shipment. Did get the last Thron available in Australia though. Second shipment arriving next month.

Due to a certain pandemic most bike shops are struggling to keep up with demand. Cycling has gone through the roof in Oz and I've never seen so many new riders on our local trails. Even found a guy sitting on the trail with his two month old e160 after he'd come off into a tree while going the wrong way around the XC loop. Most of the shops in my area are both struggling for stock and flooded with 15 year old bikes requiring service because the owners are pulling them out of the shed.

Not to mention that shipping is harder with limited travel into Oz and less flights mean more demand on ships.

Unfortunately, patience is part of the buying process for the near/medium future. I get my eZesty next week but it was a four month wait.

Unfortunately this the wrong time of the year to go looking with the model changeover combined with pandemic supply issues. My local Giant store looks like the victim of a burglary with an empty floor. They want bikes to sell but can’t get them. The shop selling Specialised isn’t any better though. Pretty empty. Patience...

Cheers, I test rode the Thron 6.8 but a small with 29 wheels is just a bit too big for me so it looks like I will wait and try the XS Giant
