Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. I built a DIY ebike and loved it for over a year till I had a chance to ride a Levo with torque sense v.s my DIY cadence based... next day I bought a 2019 Levo comp carbon, lol.. love the bike. So here is my problem and question I live in AZ and do a lot of desert trail rides one of the main roads i use to get to the MTB trails runs under some power lines. there is one spot I get shocked every time I ride under it. this happens to all bikes that ride under it. its some kind of electrical charge in the air you can hear the power lines humming. My other bike (steel frame) gets shocked too just no as bad as the carbon bike. It feels like a carpet static shock but nails you in the balls through the seat and the brake levers and hits you about 20 times before you make it under the power lines so bad a few times I had to jump off the bike. I've learned to stand up on the pedals and not touch the brakes as much as I can as I roll through there. so here is my question can this charge/static or whatever it is hurt the electronics in the bike? I once fried my alarm key pay via static charge, soI'm just curious if this could hurt the Levo. I can avoid the spot but adds 3 miles to get to the trailhead. Thoughts?
