I read today that you can get the motor to act as a power meter and give the info back to various devices, but I couldn't find out more than that. I think it said ANT+ devices. Would that be to a Garmin, for example?

My full power Levo shows all this data (speed, cadence, power, batery %, support mode) to my Fenix F6X watch without issues, I persume with SL will be the same, don't SL have same TCU as full power Levo?.

Full fat Levo here. Even without the fake channel I can get all the info displayed on my Wahoo bike computer.

If you have a bluetooth or ANT+ device, then you need to display what you want to see through the "fake channel" in Mission control. Then get your device to pair with that channel to see the info.

If you have a Garmin / Wahoo / other bike computer that supports the ANT+ LEV standard (Light Electric Vehicle), then you don't need the fake channel. All the telemetry is available to the unit that supports that standard.

tl;dr
If you have a smart watch that just supports ANT+, use the fake channel.
If you have a device that supports ANT+ LEV, then you use that instead of the fake channel.

I’m a new SL owner. When I first paired my SL with my Garmin 830 I wasn’t getting any power data. It turns out you need to pair the SL multiple times for different data. If you “search for all” sensors, you will eventualy see separate channels for the bike, for a bike power meter and for a bike speed sensor. Pair all the ones you want to use on your Garmin. The process may be different if you’re using a watch or some other device. Btw, I’m not using the fake channel in the Mission Control app.
