2020 levo, I’m wanting to gear it down, would it be easier buying a 30t chainring or different cassette?

You're probably in a minority, I went upto a 36 on the front with the Kenevo as it felt like I was mainly just using the higher gears after a 34t e8000. But switching the chainring would be the cheapest and quickest solution for you and would only take 10 minutes to change back if you wanted to for any reason.

Or change rear cassette to the incredibly long-wearing 11 speed Shimano SLX, 11-46, can't remember whether I paid $65 or $85 for it. A lot easier to change out than a chain ring which is on there really really tight. I love my 46 tooth gear for the ultra steeps. I also commute to work on my bike and the 11 tooth is not any problem. Don't need the 10 tooth cog since the motor cut out kicks in at 20 mph before I can even use the 10 tooth.

Yep.. I went to a 11-46t cass on mine too.. More because I have 4 different wheelset that I move between 3 different bikes as needed and I wanted them to all have the same size cassette and rotors for quick wheel changes without requiring adjustment.
