Howdy everyone, my name's Simon I'm 36yo and just registered here. I'm a commuter without a mountain bike but keen to hire some emtb's and give it a go on some of our trails we have here in the near future. I'll upload some photos when I do, hopefully not from the emergency room.
I installed a front hub motor/ Dillenger Street legal kit on an Apollo hybrid about a year ago now and got hooked on e-cycling. The kit served me well and introduced me to my new love in life however I recently got a bargain on a 2nd hand Merida eSpresso 600 with a mid drive Shimano motor/ steps 6010 controller and found it is far better for riding in the hilly area that I live in. The 25k region restriction here in Aus shits me to tears (an issue that was easily fixed in the dillenger/ bafang display settings) so I have ordered a diagnostic unit to hook it to my PC and hopefully change to US region settings
Currently looking at E-Bike headlights and considering the Lezyne Ebike Macro Drive 1000 any advice here would be appreciated thanks; I'm yet to search the forums on this I've had a busy day and just doing a quick intro before hitting the sack, I'll make a thread if I can't find anything and share the install and experience of what I end up choosing.
