I‘m a bit of a techno numpty, so seeking a bit of advice please.
I’m thinking of buying a Garmin Edge Explore 2 and have a few questions.
1. Do you need a STRAVA Premium Subscription to be able to export routes from STRAVA to the Garmin device.
2. Do you need a laptop to do this, or can it be done without a PC
Thank you for any advice, it’s much appreciated.

Whether it's a Strava route, or a route that you get from any number of online resources, you'll be using .gpx files. My Garmin experience is limited, so I'm not sure how to get the .gpx files into the unit.

Before you buy the Explore do check on the following. On mine which is probably now 2 years old, you cannot scale the map into a small enough scale to see local features and then move the map about to be able look at where you want to head to. It’s really frustrating only being able to pan in and out centred on where you are.

Strava GPX files and any mapping GPX file is relatively straight forward to input into the unit using Garmin Connect.

Smart phones using say GaiaGps are so much better in so many ways over the Explore.
