Garmin Edge 820??

Hi all, does anyone use a garmin 820/830?

I have been offered an 820 at a good price but wondered what the difference is to a user between the 820 and an 830, I want to start downloading some routes off kamoot etc but don't want to get the wrong unit. I want to try some single tracks as well and don't want to get lost in the middle of nowhere haha thanks in advance for help

Get the wheel sensor. With out it it’s shit in the mountains because GPS coverage is not so good.

is that the speed sensor what goes on the hub ?

I think so. I have one for my 520 that I use on the road bike. before I started using it I would often get erratic speeds from the GPS, often spiking at 90km/hr which I know is inaccurate.
I have always been interested in an accurate speed and cadence measurement even well before I bought an e bike. accurate speed is just important because it is, and Cadence is a good indication of how fresh you are.
now I have the ebikes i always look at actual speed so I can see if i am above or below the cutoff. and cadence is important because you don't get full assist below certain ranges
