I think you might get a Jumbo Jim 4.4 in the rear triangle but not a 4.8. The Bluto specs say max tyre width as 116mm so 4.4 there as well.

I've got a set of 26 x 4.7 Barbegazi's mounted on 80mm DTSwiss 2250 wheelset, I've tried them on and they appear to fit with clearance, not tried them on the trails yet but if they do then they are pretty much the biggest you will get on the rear without contact issues. I also run a set of 27.5 x 3.8 Minions and they fit and run lovely.

I have ordered a set of 45nrth Flow-/ Dunderbeist. They are listed as 26x4,6 but i've seen them on another forum measured to 4,2 on a 80 rim.
They are still in the mail, so I guess i know in a couple of days if they fit or not.
I hope to get something with better traction when it is wet and muddy.
My 4.0 Jumbo Jims are not any good in the wet...( mild understatement)

I kept to 4.0 wide but swapped to the MINION FBF & FBR for extra grip (everywhere!)
That's what I've got on now but in 3.8 x 27.5 flavour on ARC 45 Rims built onto Hope ( Mad Bee) Pro4 Fatsno hubs. I've also upgraded the display to a Yamaha Type C LCD that pairs with Komoot for navigation, straight swap and its a fabulous setup (y)

After mounting the Beists, i can conclude with the following:
Front (Flowbeist: more than enough clearance.
Rear (Dunderbeist ): more than a little bit tight.... picture is taken with 8psi.

I think i'll try them like this, for a while, and see how it goes. First impression is that the rear has massive grip in the dirt!

Hello, i used the 4,6 Dunderbeist for a short period in the summer. It was really a thight fit, I ended up making scratces on the frame, so I replaced the rear tire with a 4,2 45nrth Van Helga.
For winter I run 4,2 45nrth Wrathlordes.
I don’t think the wrathchild will fit. If it does, could you please post a picture? If it fits, I would concider changing tires next winter. I am very satisfied with the wrathlordes, but I could wish for some more float…

Okey. Thanks for the reply. My tyres havent arrived just yet, but I think I will return one of the 4.6tyres, and use one 4.6 in the front and one 4.2 on the rear wheel. Anyways, I will try a 4.6 on the rear, just to see. But for what I can tell by watching your picture on the clearence with a 4.6 (if im right?), im going to use 4.2 in the back.

Thanks!

Yes, I am. I wrote Response Nordic, wondering about the maximum size on the backwheel. They wrote me back. In norwegian though...

Can you write that in English also, so that the rest of us can benefit from your knowledge? Thank you.
