The Christini chainring is compatible with the M620 motor which changes the bcd from 130 - 104.
The spider from the M420 is also compatible with the M620 motor but you'll need to run bottom bracket spacers to inch it out to get the right chain line.
The chainring from either the m500/m600 is not compatible with the M620.

I've been pondering this. How many of us bought ebikes and never rode our non ebikes again?

If 2nd hand bikes are good to sell where you are, why not have an easy life. Sell your bike and buy a new known good emtb from a dealer you like. Merida are pretty good value. Or from bicycles online - the Mt Bromo or Marin Alpine Trail if you're after bang for buck. Keep your time for maintenance. If you get the Bromo I'd also buy a spoke tension gauge and give the wheels the "once over". I do this anyway - as a learner jumper I have some hard landings; it's good to know I have all spokes sharing the load as equally as possible.

I dont really want to sell the remedy. I friggin love that bike, and it goes bloody well. Plus it is currently built up with alot of killer parts. As it stands now, I almost have enough spare parts to build an ebike frame up, and keep the remedy intact. It's only a couple of parts that I would need to get in order to keep it complete, and a complete e bike. I may aswell put those part to good use. I also, don't want to sell the bike, to get an ebike, and then find I don't love the ebike like I did the remedy.

As for wheel building. I can build and lace wheels. I had to learn after my industry nine hydra enduro wheelset kept continually breaking spokes. After contacting i9 about it. They said it was likely a bad batch of spokes. As they had numerous warranty claims from wheels that were built at that time. Because of the distance to send back for warranty, we decided they would send me a full set of new spokes, plus a some free parts like a new stem, and I could repair the wheels locally. I agreed, and then bought a true stand and a bunch of spoke wrench and tension guards etc. After lacing and truing the wheelset, I never broke another spoke.

With M500/510/600 its a Bafang proprietary spline, unfortunately. Only Alternative to the cranks supplied with the motor is a Miranda crankset available in length between 150 - 175 mm.

I ask about ultra, not m500/600. I thought the m620 ultra is a common ISIS spline???

There are lots of ISIS spline cranks available. As many other popular E-bike motors use them. I just won't to know if there is any specific offset or Q factor to look for. Or a list of confirmed fitment options. I came across a video on YouTube of a chap who put hope cranks on his ultra, but had to space the left crank arm a couple of MM to clear the case. And lekkie advertise a set of "buzz bars" to suit the ultra, but they have an asterisk that says some ultras might not fit, but then don't go into any detail about how to determine which model does or doesn't fit.

I have seen the e13 ebike cranks are very cheap, and many other options like lekkie, hope, raceface, praxis and others. But it's hard to know what fits and what doesn't with the bafang ultra as it's not a common motor.

The bike has boost 148 rear end, so I won't need anything super wide to clear fat bike chainstays or anything. I just eat to know with regards to fouling the ultra motor case.
