The Invisframe and ride wrap "tailored" kits do cost a lot but then again re-sale is much better. I paid for a professional installation of a tailored ride wrap kit on my Rail. The whole bike doesn't even have a mark after 1200km.

If you care about your bike I’d say yes it’s essential, I bought mine from eBay from a company called paragon tapes, their tape is almost bulletproof and it’s invisible unless you stick gloss on a matte bike or vice versa and they’re very well priced too
