My mate just became a dealer for Unno, I can get the bike at cost. Only problem is getting it back to the UK, can’t take it on the plane with the battery. I’d normally sell the battery in the US and buy one here in the UK but I can’t seem to find the DJI batteries for sale anywhere.

When I asked Biker's Edge about the Unno, they said the Forbidden would be available this fall.

On this basis, I know where I'd put my money, between the new Turbo Levo or one of these (as the pricing is virtually the same)
Flow is my fave MTB website, but they should have mentioned the $23,500 S-Works Levo.
I have the Amflow. The motor with a better suspension platform and geo could be the ultimate bike.

Stopped by the local bike shop today to talk about the edruid. Sounds like the first shipment of edruids will go to the EU/UK in July maybe? second shipment maybe to the US? but because of tariffs it is uncertain what us americans will get so sucks for us!

I went and saw the eDruid at Sea Otter. It's a beautiful bike. Seeing it next to the gen4 levo makes the levo look like a bloated pig (Not that the Levo doesn't have it's merits, but it's a chonker).
From the chat I had they expected US bikes to go out like july/august, and they've already sold most of them, and are considering doing a second run.

I just called a local shop in California and I wasn't filled with much hope. Sounds like Forbidden could triple their production and still sell them all.
It's probably the sexist bike to have dropped this year!
I think they've hit the bullseye with this one (although the Unno is also pretty damn sexy).

Just spoke to the AD here in Vic, they've been told Forbidden will "try" to release in two batches to Oz, one mid year and one end of year. It will be contingent on what model and which tier within that model you are after. They seem to think based on enquiries that most orders will be for the core and probably either tier 1 (lowest price) or tier 2 (mid price).
I'm going to head over mid week to have a chat and make a decision. It doesn't sound like there will be stock sitting on bike shop floors for a while. Apparantly Bosch are issueing a major update to their motors next month which will bring them closer to the DJI. Food for thought.

My Amflow Carbon Pro landed today. The Forbidden looks a great bike. But the price is steep. 43% more than the Amflow.

Yeah, you could run a whole lot of upgrades for the price difference. I'm not looking at the top end Druid, that's for sure. Will need to sit and think about it. Hope the Amflow is sweet!

The price difference between the bottom and top spec is like 33% or so isn't it? It didn't seem that bad considering all the upgrades. My carbon wheels alone were almost $2k.

I've been reading that a lot of Amflow owners are changing up parts on their bikes. The stock head stem seems to twist and needs to be upgraded. Lots of complaints about the brakes etc. And then of course there are the complaints about the flex of the frame (not that it would worry me these days, I don't charge that hard anymore). What will be interesting is to see if DJI fully commit to building bikes. Seems like at the start they wanted to go the path of Bosch and Shimano, be the motor suppliers, but were forced into it as they couldn't get traction with the motor. Now that it's a hot item, could they be bothered pushing on in the full bike market? There are rumours the are working on an enduro level bike with greater travel. Now that would be interesting.
That said, how long does one wait. By the time this bike arrives, it's already yesterdays tech and the next new thing is out there. So be at peace with what you have.
It certainly seems that out of the box, the base Druid Core is good to go as is. Both middle and bottom specs have alloy wheels, looks like the major diff is the electronic shifting and silver brake set. I've never tried the electronic shifting and reportedly the new SRAM mech transmission is pretty good. If I ain't never had electronic, then I ain't ever gonna miss it!!
Interestingly, the AD down here reckons they haven't even finalised the specs on all the part yet. These could change throughout the year.
Electronic shifting is cool, not exceptional but electronic t-type is just incredible once you ride with it for few month you realize it.
Thing with price is that it is okay to buy something cheaper and do upgrade along the way but some parts are going to be hard to sell to buy something new, used market is a pain. But by being patient you can secure great deal on parts later on.
Second thing is that people should really not look only for Avinox and say oh the druid looks cool I will take one instead of Amflow ... without having ride a high pivot more than few rides.
This is just not for everyone, some people cannot stand the fact that the bike dive / wheelbase extend under compression, so it can appears under braking and cornering.
For me it's incredible and so plush and having a motor coupled you don't care anymore with all the drag.

your fork compresses too, reduces the wheelbase on a normal bike, so with a high pivot wheelbase stays mostly the same in travel but not increasing
It definitely increase the wheelbase which is the whole point. The rear extends
I see what you mean about the front compressing, not arguing here. The overall wheelbase is not gonna extend by much.
But the point here is that you feel the rear end extending, you just know it does.
This alone can make it a bit harder for several operations like corner and jump/pop.
You can get used to or simply not.

I saw a video where Amflow have said they have beefed up the stem in the latest release, so I'm hoping mine will be beefed up. But I'm not worried if I feel the need to change the stem.
If I was looking to charge really hard downhill, then I would have waited for a burlier frame like the Forbidden. But I love a really playful bike. Popping of trail obstacles. Solving the puzzle of route selection when climbing technically. And adventure riding.
I know the Forbidden would have done this well. But all the dealers here said that upcoming top spec DJI motored EMTBs will be AUD$20K plus. Whilst the Amflow was AUD$14K. And looking at the Uno and Forbidden, they seem to have known what was coming. So the Amflow did seem the right choice. But if money is no object. You'd have the Forbidden.
