Hi folks,I've been looking at the focus jam2 6.7 and like many not a fun if the cables running Ito tge face of the stem.Id like to put my own stem amd bar combo on the bike if I get it but is this possible as it doesn't have any holes in the frame for cable routing.Ive Sen the new merida ( I think) that has the cables run through the spacer beneath the stem.Would it be possible to swap out the focus stem for this set-up or are you stuck with the cabl3 all running into the stems faceplate? Cheers

Not without drilling holes in the frame & binning the warranty in the process. Not a fan of the trend for making frames forcing the use of stem cable routing. Owners should have a choice imo.

You can change that sphagetti face to acros through headset set, your Focus dealer probably knows which one, I don`t… :)

It's a while since I had a Focus; does it still have those vents the top of the down tube? If so, you can use those to gain access to the frame.

I was in the same position, I like it but I do not want headset routed cables, ever, it's a ridiculous idea on a mountain bike.

Already answered but yeah I also found out the newer ones sadly no longer have the option to re-route in the frame.
