Flyon Chainwheel Removal

Removed the front chainweel today. No other reason than curiosity and cleaning. Just as well I did , the fixing nut was barely finger tight as opposed to 30Nm!

What did become apparent is that the retaining nut also houses a seal, hence the reason it’s listed as a spare part.

Needless to say it was full of crud behind the chainweel. All very easy to do. Obvs the crank needs to come off first buts that’s easy as they’re self-extracting. Deffo part of the cleaning/servicing routine.

Not cheap but in the great scheme of things it’s an investment. I’ve not tried but a normal 12point large socket may work.

I’m trying to get the crankarm off but it’s almost like it’s glued to the shaft.
I have the special tool to remove the chainring so once the crankarm is off it should be easy to remove.
I have removed the lock and tensioning-nut but unable to get the crankarm off.
Any tips on what i can do ?

I probably need a Crankpulling-tool. this one is for Bosch but it looks like it's also fitting the FlyOn cranks.

You removed the lock.... the Flyon crank has a built-in crank puller, don't remove anything, just unscrew the bolt and it will push the crank off.

I unscrewed both the bolts, the big one outside and the smaller one with the washer inside so the arm could come off but it’s like it’s still bolted on tightly

I feel really stupid haha, just found this video about it and after that it came off like a charm.
