Been looking into Marin E2. Bike has the geometry battery size and mix wheel setup I’ve been looking for. Only thing I want to change is the suspension travel to
170 front/160 rear which is easy to do. Think I’m gonna pull the trigger on one. Thanks for the recommendation!

How are you planning on changing the rear travel? Longer stroke shock?

Does the stock DHX2 have a travel-reduction spacer in it?

Yep. Sometimes a frame will give you a bit extra at the start or end of the travel. Not sure if I'd want to risk it though.

Even though 150mm seems short for a gravity-focussed bike, consider that they spec it with a 2.8" rear tyre. That should give you a bit more compliance out back. Not sure how much difference it will make if you go down to 2.5 or 2.6 to get a tyre with a tougher casing on it.

Did you end up getting one? Did you do the suspension upgrade also - hope it’s awesome if you did and can you post picks?

Hey, I ended up buying a specialized kenevo expert from my local bike shop! They said I’m the luckiest guy they know since they’ve had people waiting over a year for one. Here’s a crappy photo of it.

That’s a big hitter - how you finding it on climbs atm? Glad you got it - even if you hated it I’m sure you could flip it easy as for a good price! Brose and Australia haven’t been a good mix for some reason failure/repair/warranty supply so I stayed away from Specialised

Looks a weapon

She’s been a blast so far. I’ve been on 5 real runs so far. It’s definitely a big bike to handle but I’ve found it to be agile and playful if you put some more effort in doing so. I just got done with a local area and the runs are short/steep and the climbs are steep steep back to the top. I couldn’t imagine riding a non e bike in this area because of the climbs. Even the more cross country trails have turned more into a flow, pump like feel with this powerful motor. So far I’m loving it. No problem with the motor yet ???
