How do I get this app to see the bike?

Depends on which display you have on your bike. In typical Shimano fashion, the E7000, E8000, and EW-EN100 all have different connectivity options and data supported.

He has the 7000 display. Nothing appears on his phone. He has installed the app, but the data fields don’t work.
What is the procedure for pairing the watch to the bike?

I’ve installed the application today. Then I open settings/applications eMTB and add a display and choose iQ and this application. I have not used the display but all the ebike data was incorporated to the activity when I opened in garmin connect.
