I like it all ..hills & mountains on all day rides & trail centres don't mind what the weather is ..but would prefer to start the ride when it's not raining / snowing ...if it happens to after that then so be it ..but hate riding in strong winds .
I've never tried downhilling and probably never will..but the main ingredient would always be to ride with mates whenever possible for the craic & piss taking .

Spur of the moment ride last night. This at points wasn't much fun, we could literally see about three foot in front of us, border line disorientating which sounds like an exaggeration but save for following a rut, we would have had no reference points to follow for about half a mile. Weird experience.

For me it's places like Forest of Dean, Hopton Woods or even my local rides in West Berks. Things like BPW, Dyfi, Antur etc can be fun, but it's not the same sense of laughs and adventure, it's all a bit more serious there.
Hitting Dowies and Shuttcastle at FOD is absolutely brilliant and pure fun fun fun.

Mainly XC moorland rides with some technical steep climbs and descents preferably in the Peak District midweek with no walkers regardless of the weather but if it’s wet so what, neither me or my bike are going to melt 😁

Everything and everywhere , i get a nice buzz when i explore new areas as well. I really can't remember the last time I came home and said to Maureen that was a bad cycle, long may that continue.
