Sorry for the long post but please read and comment if you have any thoughts - I have been experiencing strange power fluctuations on my G3 Levo(out of warranty). The power in say trail seems to drop off drastically for a few seconds or minutes then returns. It feels like the sort of low power you get when the battery percentage drops below 14%. Sometimes it seems to return if I change gear, change mode or just take pressure off the cranks. My money was on a torque sensor so got the LBS to plug in the computer but nothing to be seen, no codes. They also checked the battery and it flagged up a yellow marker for “battery very cold” on a particular date. As luck would have it I was riding that day and the average temperature was around 25.c so thought it was a spurious reading and discounted it . Just to be sure the LBS kindly gave me another battery to discount this “cold” marker theory. Been out today and the bike went like a train and performed perfectly. Do I need a new battery…

I had similar last time my motor went. Something to do with sprag bearing / torque sensor. does the motor have other symptoms? Check ebike motor centre's youtube videos for more info.

its more than likely the battery. One of our Gen3 Levo’s did that similar thing and set that code. My son was riding it and said it had very low power and actually drained down much quicker than normal. Bike shop put a motor to battery power cable and a speed sensor that made no difference. Then finally replacing the battery and it has been perfect since.

Just an fyi, if you go into you specialize app, there is an option to charge the battery to 80% on each charge, every 10th charge will be to 100%. This is supposed extend your battery life if you are not running your battery down to zero every ride. You might want to give it a shot.
