Failed DU-E7000 motor

So, out for a ride at the weekend on my E-Sommet, and the motor starts making a clicking/grinding noise when putting power through the cranks with Eco mode on - tried Trail/Boost modes, noise gets louder. Now the motor is making a noise like a belt is slipping and giving no E-Assist. The strange thing is that there is no error code. Anyone know if this is another failed E7000 motor?

Usually, it's the plastic drive gear stripped.
