Was at BPW for a couple of days with a buddy who hired a Trek Powerfly - very interesting back to back comparison.
So I was getting well and truly dropped (I'm more cycle fit than my buddy) on my Kenevo on the BoB ride up in Turbo mode and getting v hot and bothered as well, then I remembered that I had 200w of smart power enabled....DOH.
Deleted that and saw some improvement but still being left behind....
Next step shut down BLEvo, opened Mission control, reset all parameters and noticed Peak Power defaulted to 39%??
Maxed out Peak power to 100% Turbo was already 100% and hooray I was flying, easily keeping up with my buddy on the powerfly for very similar levels of (apparent) effort.
When home today I had a fiddle with BLEvo, maxed out all the settings and as you can see above - 750w of assistance, more than enough I reckon:)

This is what I was hoping to see from the 1.3 motor ;)
What software are you on @Bigbarper ?

Well thats really interesting

I vaguely remember @Tori saying in one of her Videos she saw something near 700 Watts on her display? Can’t remember which video though.....

Maybe @Tori could help here as she uses Blevo.

Yep, I've seen as high 760-ish watts output. This is from both batteries I have and there is a very long thread on this very subject over on Specialized - Levo Software X.23/5.0.4 (+ MC-App 1.2) ab 06/18 - rätselhafte 580W Schwachmotoren

The summary of the thread is that some bikes are seeing power outputs up to around 760 - 780 watts . . . and others aren't getting past high 500's. It's a thread that is causing a bit of angst as it appears as though some motors just aren't the same as other motors, when they are the exact same 1.3 Brose . . . .

I haven't been following the thread closely, as I have had all my free time consumed by a building project here at home . . . but I'm certainly glad that BLEvo has reported my bike to be outputting decent numbers.

Here are a couple of outputs from recent rides :

Maximum motor power: 749 Watt
- ECO: 490 Watt (16:44:47 - km 19.99)
- TRAIL: 749 Watt (15:19:20 - km 0.15)
- TURBO: 711 Watt (16:08:15 - km 13.05)

Maximum motor power: 763 Watt
- ECO: 436 Watt (12:53:30 - km 0.02)
- TRAIL: 763 Watt (15:01:07 - km 28.87)
- TURBO: 761 Watt (15:02:05 - km 29.26)

Maximum motor power: 749 Watt
- ECO ⚡+: 675 Watt (14:26:01 - km 0.05)
- TRAIL ⚡+: 739 Watt (14:32:04 - km 4.78)
- TURBO: 749 Watt (14:28:16 - km 1.79)

Some people [on the forum link above] suspect that the issue lies with the software reporting, and that there could not possibly be such a difference (of approximately 200 watts!) between many of the reported output statistics . . .

Others speculate that something fishy is going on and that the Brose motors have quality control issues . . . I really don't have a set view on the matter as I haven't looked into it deeply.

Really interesting stuff @Tori thanks - I’m back from holiday next week and will report back what mine checks out at...

2019 Kenevo running latest firmware and using mission control
I am regularly seeing peaks over 800 and the max system power I can find on a ride is 1.65kw
Screenshots are from a quick 1 hr ride where I rode in Turbo to get as much riding in as quick as possible with Support at 100% and Max Motor Current at 100%

If the "Max Consumption" equals max engine power in Mission Control, then I just had 752 watts today and that was just an acceleration on flat trail. My bike is a brand new Turbo Levo carbon Comp only 1 week old. For some odd reason it came with newest firmware on the motor and 22.3 on the battery.

Hey Rob,

I'm getting similar max motor watts to you (high 500s) on my 2018 Levo Comp, before you upgraded your firmware.

Where did you get the firmware flashed please or did you do it yourself ?

Do you actually notice any difference in the real world, other than the numbers increasing on the display ? :D

Thanks.

Hi Steve. Berkshire Cycles did mine. Just rock up and they’ll do it for you.

Yes a definite difference. I’ve gained about 200W!!

Thanks Rob, blimey so it feels more powerful or just more top end ? I will get myself booked in for a few weeks time when I'm off work, cheers!

It’s difficult to say as the new firmware changes the characteristics a bit anyway, but it definitely feels more ‘punchy’ especially in Turbo mode.

On an aside, if you wanna go for a ride when you’re off let me know ?
