Error code on Giant EnergyPak 300

Hi all,

I have an issue with my Giant EnergyPak 300 battery. The battery stopped working with my ebike recently.
As usual, it's outside warranty and the only option from the shop is to buy a new battery.

I downloaded the service manual that I found on this thread Help with Energypak battery blinking light codes

and checked the error codes.
In Stage1/Err1 I get an error code that is just the second LED turning on. This isn't listed in the manual. I contacted Giant, but no word yet. Any ideas?

Hi did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have exactly the same error code, possible addition maybe that on the charger side its continuously flashing red, which suggests the charger isn't communicating with the battery?

Im waiting on a reply from Giant, but wondering whether you managed to resolve it?

I did, I disassembled the battery and found 2 leaking cells.
Removing the cells is difficult since a plastic frame holds them, with nickel straps welded over them. The cells don't have a part number on them, so I just had to throw it out. You might have better luck if you're near a repair shop.

I have done exactly the same thing after Giant said nope can’t help. And two cells had also leaked (one of the corners) bizarre. Looked at the price of new batteries might just scrap the bike.

I don't think any do anymore, but one has come off my dads bike which is 8 years old so the battery has had a good run
