FYI (spesh if you're in UK), I just had my 2nd bar control remote die on me. System behaves like the switch is stuck pressed down and then flips out etc. 1st time around Trek warrantied it no issue although there was a 3-4 week wait for a new switch. That was ok as I just used the bike with the extended functionality via the top tube button. Not ideal but ok.
This time it has failed in the same way, EXCEPT that the error message will not clear from the screen at all and so the bike is now unusable. LBS just rang to say Trek have sent a replacement screen and switch. However the switch is again on back order with an 'expected' delivery to my LBS of second week in January '25 (9 weeks!!).
Hopefully hear more later this week if the LBS can get the bike running again with the new screen and then fingers crossed I'll have a working bike but will have to use the top tube button again until the handlebar switches come back into stock.
I understand these things happen, however a bit surprised with the extended wait time and really just an FYI to you all in case you also get the same issue!
