Texano999 already confirmed minimax with PCE02 is working, torque and power adjustments on EP801. Top speed requires license 119 euros, derestriction of EP801 not confirmed...yet.Ok so it’s not in the app yet. Hopefully soon.
Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.
Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.
We advise members great caution. EMTB Forums accepts no liability for any content or advice given here.

I’ve just asked, the app does not adjust top speed at present. You can however pay to have the top speed raised by taking it to them in Germany or via Remote Desktop on your pc. That Remote Desktop tuning comes with a licence key for the app. If you have to put the firmware back to standard (for warranty etc) you would then have to pay for the remote tuning again (at a slightly lower price) that is unless they implement the speed adjustment on the app by then.Texano999 already confirmed minimax with PCE02 is working, torque and power adjustments on EP801. Interesting. I wonder if there is some kind of security or device on their end preventing them from integrating the top speed for EP801 in their software, or some kind of legal ramifications. Power and torque no problem but top speed no? Seems strange.I’ve just asked, the app does not adjust top speed at present. So it is possible with the SM-pce02 cable on a bespoke basis but the app does not support it yet.
I think it’s more a matter of keeping it secret. They can do it but can’t do it in a way that won’t stop someone copying their method.Interesting. A planetary gear on rear hub/speed sensor could be a short term fix, not sure if those are available for EP801 or not
It is possible to increase speed on ep801 but still not completelly improved in minimax …will come.. right NOW they can do Connecting from remote using several toolsI think it’s more a matter of keeping it secret. They can do it but can’t do it in a way that won’t stop someone copying their method.
I am new to all this. I had an older Rise that I increased the torque on with ST Unlocker. Are you saying I can do that on my new 2023 if I get a Shimano SM-PCE02-B3 Di2 PC Linkage Device and use Minimax??? I only have the little left Sl600 remote. DO I unplug the cord from it and plug into the PCE02???? I only care about my torque not speed.Ep801 tuned successfully power and torque with minimax and pce801 .

I have an android and that software was licensed. Android currently does not do it. When I wen to iOs it goofed it up and froze the app. It is all fixed now and my bike is tweaked.License not needed for torque and power change
