EMTB Lite

I have the EMTB lite on my 2021 Rail 7 and love it. Is it possible to update the firmware on the earlier pre-Gen 4 motors to EMTB Lite. I’d like to get it done on my sons 2017 PF7?

No. EMTB lite is a software update that replaces the std tour mode with a variable assistance mode. Very similar to the emtb mode but not as powerful.

Currently have it on my 2020 Rail 9.7, haven't had a chance to ride any trails yet. But I can feel the difference even in my local city street riding, a lot more punchier than before.

Got my first ride in with this edition of the firmware on my Rail yesterday. Very pleased, had to check I was not in EMTB mode the assistance was so powerful. This will likely become my default riding mode now rather than EMTB other than in really steep, extended, technical climbs.
