Hello
I have been reading the forums for quite some time trying to find what bikes works best for me but would like the input of you guys that have way more experience from ebikes. I live in South Florida and plan on using this bike in the Florida Everglades and Big Cypress Swamp. Both places have dirt roads that are often quite muddy with lots of water or made of sand. I am a photographer so I plan on using the bike to reach deeper into the everglades using the Swamp buggy roads there and photograph stuff that is in the backcountry. Here are things that are important for me in a bike
1- It must be able to handle mud, sand and be in a very humid / wet environment.
2- It must be reliable, I have red quite a few horror stories here of people biking 30 miles in and then the bikes left them stranded in the middle of nowhere. In a regular road that is not a big issue in the Everglades it can be quite dangerous.
3- Must be able to pull a cart. Sometimes I have to bring gear with me stuff like tripods, several cameras, tents etc. I know some bikes have a metal bar that you can attach a cart to it.
4- range, I do not need extreme range since I plan on helping the bike by pedaling but the best range I can get the better
My budget is around $1500. So far the Gotrax Tundra seems to be a good option. What would you guys recommend ? Thanks
