I have watched the coverage of the ews-e with an eye toward the courses, the bike hardware, and the riding gear. The stuff I saw, caused me to rupture cash.

I think they are on to something.

I hope we don’t get to the point where it’s like horse racing jockeys. Anyone over 75kg is at a distinct disadvantage on the climbing stages due to power to weight.
Body weight in any 2-wheel racing is alway going to be an issue. As far as motor specs, to keep it fair EWS-e should create two Pro divisons could have Up-To-85Nm and Over-85Nm Pro Men and Pro Women, and assists should be limited to 300% ~ 350%. Evenly the manufactures will have to setup standards for Nm & assist output.

What are emtbs best at? Climbing. So, have enduro style courses with * gasp * significant climbing sections. Otherwise, it's just going to be like analog racing, with non top tier pilots.

From what I have seen thats pretty much exactly what it is - for me personally I think local level emtb racing is a lot of fun and a good day out, but at pro level it has little appeal to me.

I think it would be better if they cam up with some sort of super enduro event, basically short sharp full on DH stages linked togehther - would probably watch that
