BIKMO cover you for accidental damage so if you stack on a downhill section and crack the frame, bust the rear mech or buckle a rim beyond repair, even loose the bike off the back of the car during transport then will either pay for repair or replace the bike.

Also worth checking, even with specialist ebike policies, what the small print conditions are. So there could be stipulations for using Gold Sold secure locks ( locked to an immovable object) whenever out and about, and also check what the rules are for 'at home' mean. For example, any outbuilding (incl a garage) must have at least 5 lever locking and if there is a regular garage door with terrible locks, then a ground anchor and Sold Secure Gold locks will be needed to be used. It's so easy to miss small print gotchas like this and assume you are covered. I bought all the Hardware and took photographic evidence of it all in situ, so as I can provide this should the worst happen....

Hadn't given this any thought until seeing this thread. Homeowners Ins in the US is usually how it's covered but after reading all this I'll have to check deeper.

While visiting So CA this week I'm wondering how long it's going to take before ebike owners will be required to have liability Insurance? Riding my analog bike on couple of major bike ways this week I saw lots of ridiculous antics of ebikes, e-skatebords and such. Probably only a matter of time before regulations hit us all. Are there any laws in the Europe or elsewhere currently?

Well renewal with pedal cover is just in , its gone up like everything else , but it’s by far the most comprehensive cover for my whole home and contents I’ve listed 4 bikes on it 2 ebikes and 2 normal bikes total approx 15k
If your racing or travelling with your bikes there aren’t any give this level of cover for the price .

I’ve been on go compare added 15k worth of bikes and no one gets close with a policy this comprehensive Not to mention all the clauses I would get adding this value of bikes I can get similar prices by not choosing the same amounts of cover so My bikes are costing around £150 to insure If I compare to a similar comprehensive home cover without bikes

I have Direct Line home insurance. Not the basic policy but the slightly more expensive Home Plus. When I rang to check they said I was covered but only around the home They are more interested in the value of individual items rather than the technical spec. Lets be honest it would be a bit like saying your hard tail is covered but your full sus is not. Getting cover away from home is expensive full stop.
