E8000 display unit / computer

Having major problems with damp in the display. Has occasionally fogged up but now main button stopped working and motor cutting out and switching off - have taken unit off and dried out throughly indoors and working tempororily but afeard of next cut ofout 10 miles from home and having to grind it uphill on steep climbs home . Seems seems unit is not waterproof. Any others with same problem ?

I had this problem, during the warranty period and the display was replaced by Shimano
