• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

Guess it wont take long for DJI to plug that with a firmware patch.

I also wonder about changing wheel size to 27.5 in the app when you are running 29er. This should in theory increase max speed?

Hi Gigs! Regarding your idea, you can set the wheel diameter to 27.5 inches in the APP but use a 29-inch rear wheel to get a bit more speed. But, because the assist algorithm, riding distance, and speed are all connected, we recommend setting the wheel diameter in the APP to match the real wheel size for the best ride.

Getting mixed reports. Some people say this works others say it doesn’t. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

It works, but you have to update the device before you're able to access the 'secret' menu. I can confirm it's available in Device Version 00.08.03.06, who knows what will happen as the updates are pushed out though...

@Amflow_Support is being able to set the region code yourself here to stay?

So in a country like NZ where there are no legal restrictions we tend to get bikes that are set to the "normal" restrictions of 32km/h.
When I got my Shimano equipped bike it had been set to a max of 45km/h by a Shimano rep.
What would the theoretical max speed cutoff be for an Amflow/DJI in New Zealand?
