Hi was just wondering what people think about this bike I know it’s got crap brakes and is a dodgy colour but the rest don’t seem to bad Diamondback Ranger 2.0 27.5+ FS E-Bike Mountain Bike | Merlin Cycles

Decent spec for the discounted price, besides the brakes. Looks like dated geo with a super steep 68° head angle. Could slacken it out with a 170mm air shaft for cheap. No reach numbers to be found, probably really cramped.

68deg is slack for me my other 2 normal bikes are around 71

Its a great spec for the cash, if the geometry is good for you its a bargain, but as others have said i would change the brakes

I have one of these, I've changed the bars for some 780mm and fitted a magura Mt trail brake set. I get on with it ok. I'm tempted to go on a demo day next year to compare with other bikes to see the difference.

The acoustic version of that bike had rave reviews . Great price.Make the fork 170mm and add a -2 degree works components headset and I’d imagine it be great. I was looking at those a couple months ago. Surprised they haven’t sold out. I think I want more rear travel for my trails
