Cube in frame battery cover problem

I have a problem with my battery cover.....there is a spring with a small plastic washer , which retains the cover on a push to close basis. The plastic washer seems to keep “flirting”off and I am certain I will lose it. Anyone else had this and what is the remedy ?

Unscrew the bolt remove whole pin and spring and slide a thicker on there it's keep the underway from rattling aswell on the 2022 bike
