Hi I’m looking at a cube STEREO HYBRID 140 HPC PRO 750 for my first e-bike. Is there any difference between the 2023 and 2024 model. Is it worth going for the latest model or is it worth saving £300

any feedback from anyone with the bike would be appreciated as well! Hoping to use it for trails, cross country/ mountain trails and occas commute.
thanks

With a quick look, I can't tell the difference. Same motor, battery, fork and suspension. Perhaps someone else knows.

Now's a good time price-wise to be buying, particularly for a previous year model, there's bargins to be had if you shop around.

Unless someone points out a major component upgrade in the 2024 version, I'd say save the money and go for the 2023 model.

I believe it's unchanged other than slight colour differences on the frame since the introduction of the smart system in 2022, so unless you want a 24 model find the cheapest one you can From 22 onwards.

The 2024 160 is identical to the 2023 160. Obviously you have the usual caveats about component substitutes.

In fact, my order confirmation email says I ordered the 2023 and the dispatch email says they sent the 2024. Tredz didn't change the listing page, they just updated the year.

I recently purchased the STEREO HYBRID 140 HPC PRO 750 from Winstanleys. Compared to the specification on the Cube website it came with the Purion 200 instead of the LED remote and Newman hubs rather than Shimano. Its a 4A charger, not 2A.

Thanks guys I’m going to go with a 2023. I can’t decide between a 140 pro or 160 pro. I do trails (small jumps I’m a beginner/ intermediate). Occasional commute and mountain routes / cross country. Would the 140 with 29s be better

This is a difficult one, personally I preferred the extra suspension travel and beefier components on the 160. I'd also never ridden a 29er so I had nothing to compare it to.
No regrets, it's been amazing!

Just a small mention that with the 140 Cube does size-split - the smaller frames come with 27.5", medium and above 29". Don't know what frame size you are.

The 160 always has 27.5" as far as I know.

I'd say if you've the budget probably go for the 160, unless you really want/need the 29ers. As @Bummers rightly says, it's a personal preference thing

I bought a 140 29er. Mainly because it was all that was available at the time! You’ve pretty much summed up my type of riding. More trails and cross country than enduro/downhill. I’m not an experienced rider and will only attempt small jumps and I’ve never been left wanting more than the 140.

Btw both bikes actually have 10mm more on the front so they’re 170/160 and 150/140. Also to ‘22 e-tuned fox 34 rhythm’s are actually beefier than previously and closer in rigidity to the 36’s than the rest of the 34 family.

Go for the 160, it has better suspension.
Most reason that are valid to choose 29" are not relevant on an Ebike.

If you're 2m and want to buy an XL frame, 29"could be good.

Kinda gonna disagree with the above, from my point of view

I've ridden both - bought the 140 for the 29" wheels in a 2021 bike - and recently bought a 2023 action team also in the 140

29" wheels roll over roots and holes so much better than 27.5" wheels - I just couldn't get on with them at all
As I do a lot of cross country stuff, I much prefer the ability to roll over stuff, and don't miss the "agility" of smaller wheels as I don't chuck the bike around twisty stuff fast.

I would have liked the 160, and I wished they'd done it in a 29er - I think the new cube lightweight emtb's are 29 for both.

24 is a 23 model only "2024" is the matt black action team with kiox 500! I got the 2024 action blue orange 160 but it was just the site that have changed them to 2024 from 23 in January when was looking at the same one in December bought January as a 24 model! the 2021/22 decals are different cube up the seatstay and 140 or 160 on side front triangle! Now we just have cube on downtube alot nicer and not not full OTT decals but others may like that!. 23/24 plastics were improved on models nicer fitments! To the 22 model, I just updated mine with kiox 500 and purion 200 it'll be 25 model that'll probably see the change I've noticed cube do the same model run for 2 year's so it might be a Gen 5 on the next one and or the rear suspension layout will be changed like the 155 etc to keep with modern time's as The great Horst link suspension seems to be becoming a past design but I love it! Oh amd the dropper will probably be foxes 2025 model!. I'd love to get a warranty replacement for mine its never been right from day 1 on mine 6 month old used handful time's! Just got the x2 2024 today for it
