Did you bought it new? My opinion it´s an warranty claim

Yes, quite new. The box even opened for me in the CUBE lounge. Its model year 2021 bike.
Has any of the CUBE Stereo Hybrid 140 (Carbon Frame, maybe 160 users?? )users had the same ailment? I don't know if I should drive and be afraid that I will get involved in an accident.

By all means get it checked but there have been a few very similar reports/photos here on the forum and mostly ( like yours) the crack outlines the joint between the frame and an insert where the surface of the insert has been blended to the frame with an epoxy filler. Carbon flexes so it is inevitable that some of the cosmetic filler will get disturbed. The insert ( e.g. a metal sleeve) will have been bonded into the frame so is unlikely to be an issue. So as long as there is no movement of the insert itself i would not be concerned.

In My opinion, Yes.
This cracking will be progressive. (In my opinion also.) Other bikes don't have this issue in carbon. Its a weird situation for Cube.

Is the same cracked outline on top?

This may be a silly question but why is carbon even necessary on an ebike? Is the weight saving that significant?

all my carbon shafted golf clubs are split, cracked, broken while my metal ones are as good as new.

To be fair, my carbon badminton racket still looks ok but the most knarly object it ever encounters is a piece of cork and a few feathers ?

Kona do lifetime warranties on their frames, but only if made of steel or alloy. They have it in the clause Carbon isn't included.

Tells me everything I need to know about carbon.

Hi. Like i post earlier. They give me 💰 back! Now I'm the happiest on the world owner of Giant Trance X+ PRO2. And i will never buy a "carbon" Cube again - there is a couple of reasons, not only poor quality of frame.

Could elaborate a little more on the reasons?

For every manufacturer there will be problems. I think the measure is how they deal with these issues. I have a 2021 Cube and in general was a little concerned about the Carbon Frame so I check all stress points regularly. I will buy an Alu Frame next time but this is just my choice of feel and nothing to do with Cube. Will be interesting to see how Cube deal with the issue seen on the 2022 140 on the other thread, that would influence my decision.

Ok, i will try!
1. First, the bike had poor geometry. I felt like I was riding a pony. (small pony). This is not a purebred downhill rider, and not a trails miles eater. Just such a structure at a good price. I did 500km on it and it was good for a start. Good as the first e-bike, but not the ultimate e-bike;
2. I was often put up on the ruts. Which does not happen with TRANCE X. I think the slope of the front damper account matters here. Maybe the front ASSEGAI ;-). Trance X is similar to SPEC LEVO (for me); is a long bike, that i prefer.
3. The carbon frame creaked at the headset.

What i miss? A superb BOSCH system! (as we know, the newest is even better) :)
Yamaha is good also ... but had some issues (app issues, poor "bicycle counter" system, etc) ;-)

Have same issue on my 140 actionteam and CUBE brushing it off as paint crack. Be very interested to hear how yours failed (before I ride down Snowdon)? Thanks
