588 miles in and rear spoke pops out, has not been near a bike park and has mainly run on mud.

Newmen Evolution SL E.G. 30

Was a bit miffed shop charged me for repair, saying warranty was for manufacturer defect not wear and tear.

Bike warranty reality often baffles (and costs) me.

Thoughts on this wheelset and warranty welcome

Thanks

Yes I found spokes would loosen off on my 140 Action Team. Only on the rear. Just check and nip up as required.

The rims seem pretty solid, but the hubs are a bit soft. So keep an eye on the bearings and change them sooner rather than later if they get a bit rough. Might save you replacing the hubs.

Mine now has a rear Hope hub, and the local bike shop is sourcing a new front wheel for me, as that hub has now failed too.
