2020 Specialized turbo levo
Anyone know what makes the creaking noise in the front stem area? I have checked and cleaned the bearing and Handlebar area but it still is creaking.

Silly question you have re greased and correctly torqued everything up, also check your seat post. I was adamant it was my headset, turned out the be the seat post clamp.

It could be fork steerer tube or stanchions. It does happens in some forks no matter which brand.

I cured mine by undoing all the headset/handlebar clamp bolts and retorquing as per manual settings.

(*but yes, a lot does seem to end up being the seatpost)

Unfortunately no. No matter if is the steerer tube or the crown/stanchions it needs to be replaced But if the fork is new enough it should be cover under warranty.

I heard a similar noise at the front of the bike, and I cleaned and lubed everything (stem, fork, handlebar) and the noise was still there. finally, It was the seatpost. just remove the thing, clean and lube and put it back.
worst case scenario: fork crown.
