Well aware of the topic. Was providing insight to those who may have an E8000 and/or EP8 EINSTEINThe topic is E13 failures on the EP8, NOT E8000.

None that I know of. Have eThere are no real reported spindle failures on the E8000 are there?
Been following a few threads on this issue from riders with a wide array of brands/models and they don't always state which version Shimano motor they have. From my end, have bikes with both and the spindle looks very similar. The length of the spindle on the E8000 looks to be about 5mm longer than the EP8 spindle. Speculating rootcause of cracks could be related to crankarms coming loose, from over-torquing crankarm bolts or from manufacturing defects which seems highly unlikely. There are no real reported spindle failures on the E8000 are there?
Good feedback @Shjay. Have 500 miles on my Yeti-160E with stock Shimano cranks and no issues. All the failed spindles & cranks falling off have been on the EP8! Not a single Shimano crank has failed on the EP8 either which proves aftermarket cranks don’t work on the EP8
