Some advice please. Changing the cranks on my new Cube to Hope - should I stick with 165mm or go to 155mm? The 155mm seem short to me but are they any good?

If you currently get a lot of pedal strikes, change to 155 mm - the only difference you'll notice is that you will get far fewer pedal strikes.

You will loose power but if you will actually notice is another thing. I went from 175 to 160 and to me there was a slight loss of power but way less pedal strikes.

I went from 165 to 155 & did not notice anything different in pedal stroke or power loss. However, pedal strikes went from a few each ride to maybe 1 every third ride. Win win change I reckon?

Wen't from 165 to 150, didn't notice any power loss, wen't on the same climbs with no noticeable difference in effort. Pedals took less hits even in places I usual expect some minor strikes.

I did the swap 165 to 155. Didn’t notice any difference but I guess you lose some leverage.

I am an XC/Trail spinner so pedal strikes are few and far between for me.

Back on 165 now.
