There's a long caged XT di2 derailleur for sale on our local 2nd hand site for 90€ from a guy who is moving to XTR Di2. So I started thinking "hey, maybe I can play around with this di2 stuff"> But I come to discover that it's more complicated than "derailler-wire-shifter". There's batteries, junction boxes, displays....

Does anyone have a list of stuff I need if I want to convert my 1x11 to a di2? And where do you stick the battery? Can't go in the seat post because of the dropper.

As far as I can make out its shifter (SW-M8050-R ) to display (SC-MT800 ) to battery (BT-DN110-A ) to derailler (RD-M8050-GS )?

And then you also need wires, an installation tool and a specific charger?!?

The display connects all wires (shifter + battery + derailler).
If you got a Shimano motor, it's very easy (you allready got the battery + display + charger).

If not, you can hide the battery in the headtube or seattube.
You need a charger, which connects to the display.
Wires and tool is quite cheap.

I got 2 analog bikes with Di2 XT.
Will not go back...it's so nice.

And my Garmin watch logs the gearshifts, so I can see how many gears I shifted, what gears is most used etc...very usefull.
