Hi, and thanks in advance. Newby alert!
They sent a Cube Acid Sic Rail 29" Boost.
Cube say "This luggage carrier is compatible with CUBE bikes with 29in wheels"
My Cube REACTION HYBRID PERFORMANCE 625 has 29" tyres.
The snag? The rack way too big. The screw holes are about 2.5" from the tyres.
I wish I could ask the shop where I've bought it, but they went bust "0/
The solution? I guess I could buy the 27.5" sic rail ?!?!
Can anyone put me out of my misery? What did I get wrong?
Thanks in advance...
Jonathan

Doesn't look far out but if you add what brand the pannier rack is, people might be able to give some advice.

It's an Acid band and model rack (marketed and maybe manufactured by Cube bikes) as described in the OP.
Looks to me like they expect the mudguards to be mounted much further away from the tyres, see attached pic. which I found in the Cube website.

Thanks for this joecrow.
The photo is spot on how it should look.
If I screw the mudguards to the rack I have, the mudguard/tyre gap at the front of an about inch, would become a yawning 3" at the back... It's tempting to use spacers, but I guess I'll just order the 27.5 rack and resell the 29" one.
Would be great to know what went wrong tho "0)
