Hi there, I'm new here. Since I'm in Cape Town, Africa, its not alway easy to get sorted and I often have to McGuyver stuff. For instance I've managed to replace an E8000 with an EP8 by just cutting the wires and soldering what I needed together.
Now I want to put an ep8 (DU-EP800) motor into an old frame, using a shimano 630 BT-EN806 Gen.2 battery. But the harness from the battery is for the ep6 motor that has a different plug on the motor.
So I don't want to cut the wires if I am certain it won't work. Has anybody tried this or has anybody have a EP800 powered by the 630wh gen2 battery?
If not, I'll try it and report back..
