Coil spring weight advise.

I'm about to pull the trigger on Dhx2 or Ttx. For my 2019 Large Levo.

Never ran a coil and don't want to waste coin on multiple coils.

I'm about 220lbs +/- 5lbs geared. I'm becoming a better rider daily... My local trails don't have any jumps or drops over 5ft.

If I go Dhx2 it'll be 210x55 ... Ttx 210x52.5.

I was thinking 600lb coil. Who out there is around my weight with experience.

Another question... Why can't we use a Dvo Jade? Is the shaft to small like the CC DB?

Only think that worries me... I've tried couple of the them and it's off +/- 175

One calculator said 398lb and another said 638lbs...

Try the cane creek calculator. It might be more accurate . You punch in what bike. Hopefully it has your bike listed. Probably the same leverage ratio as a stumpy though idk. It's always been correct for me

Who are you getting it from? I'd ring TF Tuned - they are mega helpful on the phone about this sort of thing.

I ended up ordering 2020 Dhx2 210x52.5 with 550lb spring. Hopefully will have it the Friday.

I'm sure... I'll feel improvements over the Dps

A Fox Van RC with a Push upgrade from TFTuned on my 2018 Levo. I'm 105 kg fully kitted and the sag is 30% with 1/2 turn of preload - Perfect ride!

What’s it like climbing ? Any significant bobbing ? Just a bit concerned re pedal strikes on rocky climbs, as RC has no climb lock out

I have no issues with either bobbing or pedal strikes. The later I do believe comes down to the ability of the rider and not so much the suspension.

I've run a CC DB and ran it until the shaft snapped (as I was warned it would). Currently been replaced with an upgraded 8.5mm shaft kit that is supposed to fix the issue, you must make sure the body to frame bush has minimum friction, same with the yoke bearings as the load in the shaft is essentially the same as having a shaft the same length as the combined shaft and yolk. I was searching for the Jade out of interest as an option when I came across your post.
I'm also running 180mm Lyric forks and 160mm cranks. Bike now has a bottom bracket 20mm higher than stock, also the CC DB gives 162mm of rear travel!

Because jade. I see Jensen bikes has a good deal on the dvo jade. I think almost $200 off. Not sure on size options
