I have a BT-8035 battery at the moment and have been notified by a shop I have used before that they have some super cheap BT-8036 batteries coming in stock. From what I can see some bikes will work with the BT-8036 if your running a 8035 now?
If the 8036 will fit my frame is it plug & play or do they need any software type wor?

I think it depends on which 8035 you have the standard short version or the BT 8035-L, the latter (with the L suffix) is dimensionally the same as the 8036 but 504w Vs 630w.

I would not part with my cash until either the retailer gave me a money back guarantee, or that Shimano had said it would work OK. If Shimano said it will work OK, can the retailer do any software upgrade required by Shimano?
