So I have a 2023 29 150mm boost fork. Just wondering if this is the right charger upgrade fit? It says Yari A1+ 2016+. Not sure what the the A1+ refers too?

If you go on the trailforks app, put in your fork serial number off the rear of the crown then it should tell you available and compatible upgrades.
Just be very careful making sure the seller SKU/part number is actually right. I went thorough this with a 2017 Pike and some sellers had mislabelled what the item was.

Is your fork a Yari? If so it will fit. I know because my fork was '23 Yari RC B3 with the motion control damper which I then upgraded to a Charger 2.1. I think it's ' 23 onwards Lyriks with the 3.0 or 3.1 and buttercups that this damper that it will not fit. But as suggested above....take a pic of your fork serial number and input the serial number into the RS Trailhead app.

I think you just need 10cc of Maxima in each leg and a bit of Judy butter.*

It was a simple swap out job when I did it, not much more complex than a lower leg service. SRAM online manuals are your friend here, or YouTube. The manual will give you the oil spec and volume, *don’t trust a random bloke on the internet forum.

Word of warning, the very fine threads between the damper and the crown are as soft as butter. High risk of cross-threading.

You might as well service the forks whilst they're disassembled, so buy a Lyrik service kit (you'd be daft not to). Rockshox has service data ) downloadable pdf's) for the various lubricants their forks (and shocks) use.

You should do this before listening to any opinions. It's the definitive resource & will list exactly what does & doesn't fit as well as providing all the manuals for servicing, oil tyoes & volumes, upgrades, service kits and so on.

The fork is new off another bike and never used so will I need any other parts such as seals etc? Or is everything that I need in the kit bar the oil and butter?

As it’s just the damper do I just need the lower leg oil? Which is the maxima dynamic light stuff. And some sram butter. Actually guide says also need the upper tube oil (180ml 5wt - shame it comes in 120ml bottles!)

As much as I’d love to help, mine was a 2017 pike so I cant give definitive advice.

My damper came with just the damper unit but I did a lower leg service at the same time, which is fairly easy. You need to be sure what volume and weight oil to use. Mine didn’t recommend any oil from the top of the fork, so to speak.

The spec is the spec, so just follow it to the letter.

Theoretically, you should also install new crush washers for the bolts on the bottom of the fork legs. I can’t remember that my damper came with them but they are fairly cheap. Some people might risk reusing them, but that would be your call.

Spoke to TF Tuned and they have a kit which includes all oil and lube and they said they would chuck in some crush washers too as my local bike mechanic is good friends with them and they said they would find some for me in the workshop.

My bike mechanic is going to do the swap for me as he is far more experienced than me and has all the tools needed. Fork arrived as described today and charger kit tomorrow.
