Changing rear pads on Stance-e.

I don't know if the Trance is similar but the location of the rear caliper relative to these stay blocks the extraction of the small bolt that holds the pads to the caliper on my 2020 Stance-e . This seems like a really dumb design. Perhaps going to a large rotor in the back was a last minute, poorly thought decision. So what are people doing? Reverting to a smaller rotor and losing the caliper to frame spacers (do we need such a big rear rotor?)? Or taking the caliper off each time you change pads? Any other suggestions?
