Hey, I was looking over the bike today and one thing I never noticed from new was the gap between the chainring and the frame is rather small. I keep thinking I wondering if I bent it? Issue is I have issues with my eyes with one of the problems I can't really tell if things are level by eyeing balling it or even focus on something so close!

Does this gap etc look normal ? On a rotation I do see a very small but of a movement, but it wouldn't even be 0.5mm.

I agree with Jamze, and it looks similar to mine. I could measure it later if you would like.

The one thing I've always found strange about the Bosch motors is the way they fasten into the frame compared to Shimano for example. The small aluminium plates don't seem very sturdy and I've had similar concerns over the proximity of the chain ring to the chain stay. I'm running a hope chainring which does seem to have more clearance.

Same on my Whyte.....can’t see a problem seeing as the chainring is bare at the points of the frame you show.......just stop worrying and go and get the bike dirty ??
