Answered Chain keeps coming off sprocket when under pressure * Got video *

Hi i've just replaced my chain and cassette and i am now having issue with the chain coming off sprocket. The chain spins fine when on work bench but as soon as I take it for a test run this happens ? theirs also a horrible notching sound coming from front
The chain is correct length and i * think * i've indexed the derailer correctly. chain and cassette are both oem spec

should the sprocket be replaced at same time then as cassette and chain ?

As the cassette, usually yes.

But you may change only the chain if it's not too worn.

Your new chain is sticking to the chainring and that's the clicking noise you can hear. You need to change your chainring and all will be fine. ?

Looks like the chain is too narrow and grabbing the front sprocket. I would double check you have fitted the right one.

I did wonder about the chain because the rollers on this one are slightly narrower than before but it's the same x10 chain with the only differences being that this one is specifically marked e bike and that it's XXXSP

There were only three too choose from and they were all the same - KMC Chain

Since examining both chains I've found that the old one was marked x10 only with no additional letters and XXSP but the only one I've found online like this was for a non e bike.
Emmmmmmmmmmmm ... could it be that i've got the wrong one ? ?

I see now that it's a Bosch motor. This small sprocket wears faster, I have to replace it at the same time as the chain.

yes 10 speed Shimano CS HG500

so as long as the chain is x10 any type will do ?

Yes, the width and pitch are standardized. But Shimano has some unidirectional chains which may provide smoother shifting...
