Has anyone upstroked their levo to 210x55 shock and added the cascade link?

Im wondering if it would be possible on an XL frame. Anyone just up stroke to 55 on an xl? How much clearance is left for possible tire rub?

I have a Float DPX2 210x55 on my Carbon 2019 Large in the LOW position.

The 55mm shock fit fine and no contact points looked close when I ran it through full travel. Chain was long enough also.

I am wondering the same thing about the cascade link. In theory I added 7mm of travel. It looks like the link ads 8mm of travel. That would be 165mm on paper with my Newtonian brain. I guess I could remove the shock and move the suspension that much and see if something hits.

If you do please let me know! Lol. Might buy a dhx2 210x55 (only size in stock) but don’t really want to run the coil without the link. Might have to just play it safe and go 52.5.

Loved the link on my Hightower

I blew the stock shock and the LBS warrantied it along with my entire bent Roval wheel assembly. Crazy as it was it all my fault from landing in rocks at Windrock bike park.

Fox has none in stock. I tried to upgrade, but they wanted $360 for the DPX2. I just had had them rebuild it which took a month. In the meantime I bought a 55mm DPX2 new on ebay for $320. So now I have spare.

I sent Cascade an email. I am seeing if they will let me try it for fit and return it if it hits.

Ahh haha good thing you were able to snag another shock.

Nice. I sent them an email the other day asking if they had any experience with upstroked levo’s.

I use a 170 Fox 38 with mine. Rides like an enduro bike. My other bike is a DH bike. I think my Levo would handle any park fine the way it is set up.

I was looking into the Cascade Link as well for my LSL. I have one on my 22 EVO Expert and it works great...I just don't know if I'd be hitting the same 4-6' drops and jumps (sending it) as I do with my EVO on my SL with a bike that's about 8-10 lbs heavier..?

I always wondered the same for guys doing big stuff. At my skill level, the Levo can handle anything I can do just fine. I fly airlines with a DH bike and try to only ride parks. I do not need a DH bike; I just think they are cool. The Levo is just my practice bike in my flatland home so I am not so rusty when I get to go to a park. The weight and speed of the Levo translate to my DH bike way better than my other bikes have.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and get one. If it improved the feel of my EVO, then it will enhance the LSL for me as well.

Its a winning combination! Here is my 2020 Comp with cascade link and 2021 Fox Float X2 210x55. Handles big hits and is super planted. I will warn you...if you are a bigger rider, this shock may not be for you. I am 220 lbs and near max 300 PSI just to get a little over 30% sag. I called Fox and they claim that the geometry on the Levo makes the Float X2 difficult to set up and adjust.

Got my Link last night. Gonna throw it on and ride later today and this weekend. Excited to see how it performs.. .mostly because I bought the SL to pair with 22 EVO and want to ride them in the same fashion.
