Wondering what the consensus is for emtb on frame material preference? Much heavier bikes with a motor that generates noise and heat - does carbon or alloy translate better for these kind of bikes and why? I'm specifically looking at buying a turbo levo but haven't decided on what frame yet.

If you can afford it, go for the carbon frame. It is easier to lift over gates and onto your roof or towbar rack. :)

PS: I haven't ridden an alloy version of either of my carbon framed bikes, but I have no issues with noise (or vibration) transmission. Overheating has never been a problem.
