Hi , we have a holiday cottage , off grid in the Dyfi forest in Eyri , trails on your doorstep in the Dyfi and pretty central to most trail centres and Snowdon, or Yr Wyddfa, is about an hours drive.
We have special flexible rates for the forum , have a look at Hendre ddu, Snowdonia Escape or find us on face book Hendre Ddu Cottage | Machynlleth , maybe of interest.
Cheers /loniannau,
Paul

Hi Paul - Thanks for the heads up! I'll check out your links
but the truth is, I've just bought a small van and awning - so it's pretty unlikely - although very tempting!!

edit - just had a look - Wow! it's gorgeous - good job
if I ever get a bunch of us together it would be perfect!!

no worries , what van did you get , looking at something also , thought about 1 of these ,
wow that looks like a good deal - I got a SWB 2019 1.2 petrol vauxhall combo life with 13k on the clock(£13k), I've dropped the rear seats and put some ply in the back - still have enough height for our orbea rise bikes - with the front wheel removed. also can fit an inflatable double mattress if I push the front seats forward - there were electric versions available (not hybrid) but real life range was about 150 miles (not enough) - bargain prices on those though - literally losing 10k coming off the forecourt. Important to check the internal height - mtb's are surprisingly tall... Also think about a spare wheel - if it doesn't have one stored away already - I've bought a space saver that goes under the ply - didn't want to be knackering tyres and alloys with that inflation foam.

I purchased an all in one unit, but if doing it again would buy a 100ah battery £200, a 500wh inverter £80 and a panel / stuff £100. All prices approximate.
that all sounds surprisingly reasonable - where did you put the extra battery? is the panel fixed on your roof? (not done any research)
